Hi,

I have a 2008 2.0 Audi A4. After driving 2000 miles in my new Audi my oil light came on. I took it to Audi and they said sellers of oil was low, but this is normal. Then, about 4,000 miles my oil light came on again. Well, what do you know my oil is low again. Are saturated my oil and sent me on my way. Not again! At 9800 miles my oil is low agin. I've been back and forth over the situation with Audi. They claim issuei oil consumption is due to the way synethic burns oil. This is my 3rd car from syntheic I never had this problem in the past. Today corprate office told me that I go through so much oil on the race due to the 2.0 style of design from Audi.

No Junior!

Audi called the other day and said that the works of engineers in Germany (so they say ...) and the seller says it is all related normal parameters ...

This is my 3rd A4 1.8 T and 2.0 2005.5 and I got rid of the last six months early to 13,500, because 07 'was a better deal! Decrease or smoke. Audi told how this can be normal for a new car at the time, 9000 miles to the combustion of oil and old bombs? Synthetic mind you. They jerked me and Audi after more than 6 months with this and I'm fed up.

My lawyer says its cheaper this way than the Audi, let alone admitting a mistake, but instead of the engine probably cost way more than $ 10,000 ...

Settlement may be anywhere from 4000.00 to 10000.00 from anywhere from 2000.00 to 1 / 3 of legal fees, so ...

Let me know if you need help. They are a nationwide company too and they 99% sure I have a problem!

What I have to buy the Audi over the BMW, the last call-VW Audi cars no more for you!

I was wrong again!

The bayonet is 4,000 miles below the half mark indicating some real burning oil and I've had enough!

I called Audi and preserve Lawyer ...

My advice, do not buy VW or Audi with the 2.0, you may be a problem!

I've never seen a new car, burning oil like an old bomb on the road!

As far as Audi is concerned, I want the engine was replaced, torn apart and fixed, replaced or lease the car solved, they have 4 options, or I bring Connecticut law "lemon" .....

Now the lawyers because of the incompetence right ...

Hi Chris,
I have the same problem and I have ben back and forth with Audi and the dealer. This is my 2nd 2.0, 2007 A4, and one a 2005, does not burn oil ...
I have 16K on this one and 9 months left before, I turn it on after 2 year lease or buy, and no way I'm buying this thing.
Audi is brushing me told me to 1 liter every 6000 is normal, my burning 2.2 half between 5000 and 11000 ... Now at 1300 miles from 15 k service, already burned at least 1 / 2 quart, if not more ...
The dealer also told me: "do not burn after 15,000" ya right! I told Audi if this thing still smokes and you can not fix it, I call a lawyer!

I am thinking of buying a used Audi A4 2000-2002 model. The asking price is $ 10,000-12,000. Mile range from 85,000-115,000. Is this a good purchase? How do these cars hold up, while performing 90K miles? Do you have a lot of mechanical problems and it is expensive to fix them? I am 22 and just a good job, so I want to buy a used car NICE, this is a good car to buy?

Mine does the same. I have to top it every 3000kms per liter (oil change). This is because the Audis with a thin synthetic oil is not as old mineral oils used in cars years ago. You probably should change the oil every 5,000 miles to protect against the accumulation of sludge

Hi,

I am glad that the problem of inhibition was determined. I like the information about the new pipe is stronger and Audi probably aware of the problem. After checking the original pipe they semed to not amplify. My next problem is hesitaing CVT so it is scary, and last week it actually slipped at the start. My friend of 04 A4 transmission was replaced under warranty at 35,000 k ..... Time to trade in My 05 Subaru Impreza WRX continues perfectly!
